WEDNESDAY NOVMEBER 3RD | EMOTIONAL - POWER WORDS
The words we say can affect our whole outlook on a situation. By developing a personal mantra or a Power Phrase that is positive and encouraging we can decrease stress and see a negative situation as a temporary obstacle.
Achieving the best physical health through nutrition, hydration, regular exercise and good sleep.
Creating a safe and collaborative environment, where you develop professionally and fulfill your individuals goals.
Developing a sense of belonging and social inclusion that allows us to coexist with each other in peaceful communities.
Practicing preventative measures to enhance interactions with nature and your personal environment.
Drink water frequently. Anyone working in the heat should drink 16-32 ounces of water every hour starting at the beginning of their shift.
Avoid alcohol and caffeine. Avoid drinking soda, coffee, tea and other caffeinated drinks as well as alcoholic beverages because they dehydrate the body.
Seek shaded area. Taking rest breaks in a cool shaded area and allowing time for recovery from
the heat are effective ways to avoid heat illness.
Wear appropriate clothing. Whenever possible, wear clothing that provides protection from the sun but allows airflow to the body. People working in the sun should protect their heads and shade their eyes when working outdoors.
